Before Break, we finished our first floor, and used skinny popsicle sticks to root it on our styrofoam base. We decided to do a miniature test, to see how it would go. Learn more on our Tests page.
Now, we are ready to start building with materials. It was fun to explore and play with the materials that we are using for our project.
Hello everyone! Today we will be covering the first step of the engineering process: defining the problem. It's important to figure out the exact attributes one wants for their building to survive an earthquake. We want our building to be earthquake-proof (obviously!) as well as sturdy and convenient. We are also considering the idea of making our building somehow flexible without collapsing.
Hello! We are using this website as an efficient way to record our information during the EDP project, and as a way to learn about the engineering design process. In our "Updates" section, we will have regular blog posts about where we are in our project. However, our final project will be on the "Our Project" page, which will have everything you need to know about our progress, step by step. Lastly, in the "Engineering Design Process" section, we will have explanations on how the parts of the engineering design process work. We hope you enjoy!
